By learning new ways to deal with trauma, we focus on being resilient by making healthy connections, taking care of ourselves, setting goals and practicing activities such as coping skills and mindfulness.
Every Friday we gather together for snacks and conversation. It’s a casual gathering and it’s a great way for everyone to connect and make their peer support network even stronger. We also use this time to make announcements and discuss any upcoming events.
Through this new program, we will explore healthy coping mechanisms such as chair aerobics, meditation, aroma therapy, and supportive groups. There will be fidget items to help resist the urge to smoke.
